miqo’te and roegadyn pass with their swords drawn
or staffs held high in their leather gloved hands
drifting over patches of wildflowers and velvet grass
their eyes glow in the darkness and their skin
is luminescent under the glimmering moonlit sky
reflecting tiny pieces of the stars on their glossy
plated armor their silk hair floats down their shoulders
in the quiet stillness of the night my eyes drift from
their passing silhouettes and back to the dew drops
and dappled light on the thick downy fur of my
moogle whose floating golden orb settles into the
depths of the stars and nestles into the space
where the moon had been my hand lifts up into
the silvery light where his shadow slowly passes
across its small speckled surface as he hovers
